Greetings friends!

Again this year I will provide a short and brief mentoring session for you. Breakfast is OYO.  I encourage you set again time for this fellowship and breakfast together on an annual basis.

Of courser this is not mandatory, I am sure all of you meet the AKC quals for mentoring. But I try to add a helpful perspective and enliven the conversation :) SO come and fellowship, greet your peers.

Please RSVP by Friday Sept 12 so I can ensure adequate space and setting.

Thanks

Following is a list of Upcoming Events:

Breed History, Conformation,

Movement, and Hands-on Seminar

A breed conformation forum open to the public will be held @ Peek’n Peak Resort Inn Friday September 19 at 6:30pm, likely indoors (look for the location during the week), for approximately two hours. The seminar will be patterned the same method and same information as used in the SBCA Judges Seminar as approved by the Board.

We will have an all participant desk top exercise, review of the Illustrated Commentary slide presentation, and then adjourn to a hands-on activity similar to what was experienced at Homestead, Utah, SBCA National 2012. (See Fall 2012 Fancier for article). The Presenters will be volunteer Specialty Judges who desire and support breed education as one means toward breed improvement.

The target audience is those who want to learn more about our great breed and its mission in the world.  Reservations will be accepted until Friday September 12. Reservations will allow proper planning and resourcing of the event to ensure learning, hospitality, and fellowship. For further information contact Vic Dingus, vdingus@gmail.com or 423-612-3116. This will be an opportunity to learn about the meaning of key words in our standard as powerful, strong, proportionately tall, correct head type, key breed virtues, and movement.

It is suggested the August issue of Show Sight Magazine featuring the Saint Bernard be obtained and studied (two articles, one on history and another on Judging).
